AE 125 and Taped Up OV 25 Here's a pic of a AE 125 with a taped up Cooper OV 25, the AE 125 replaced another OV 25 which was also taped up last year. Here's a pic of a AE 125 with a taped up Cooper OV 25, the AE 125 replaced another OV 25 which was also taped up last year. The OV 25 looks like it has a replacement door on it but I'm not sure...

Seems like perhaps this OV-25 has the Cooper hinge flaw?

I guessing they also have the Copper hinge flaw since the other light was also a taped up OV 25 before it was replaced with a AE 125.

Joe you could go back...make a very close up picture of the underside...you may see a broken hinge.....

Do The Hinges Break Just From Opening...or do they Stick...then the Lineman Breaks it when he Tries to Force the Door to go Down and Open?

They get broken from being forced open, I am always very careful when opening some of my cobras as to not break the hinges.

A little update, the OV 25 is now gone and has been replaced with a AE 125 and the AE 125 on the left now has it's door taped open against the arm and has two wires flying out of it. Shocked The lights are also dayburning now, pic coming tomorrow.

I guess the silver lining (ha ha) is that at least they put up a 125 (here it would of been a 115) Rolling Eyes

Yeah and at least it was a still a drop lensed fixture, In Markham they either use smaller sized fixtures in place of medium or mix in FCO with drop lens. Confused

So much tape! Here they just put one round of tape on about 3" away from the hinges or around where the refractor is. Once they need servicing though there will probably be a new M-250R2 will find its way on the pole. Confused
