The Sea of OVX's. It's like that on Littleton Boulevard, there are OVX's EVERYWHERE! Except on Black davit poles and painted grey also they are in FCO.

Oh.. And in Clayton, New Mexico, LOTS OF OVX's on double davits, they were just everywhere, and some were even missing form the pole!!! Lots were cycling and not working though. That is the quality of the OVX. xD

"The OVX come marching one by one, hoorah!! Hoorah!!" Razz Laughing

Lots of OVXs in that area. Razz Laughing
gailgrove   [Nov 04, 2011 at 03:01 PM]
Way too many OVXs, Ian please come and take some away! Or if they would march away that would work too. Laughing

I'd like to see these get replaced by NOS 400w MV B2215s. Cool
gailgrove   [Nov 05, 2011 at 12:27 AM]
I'd like that too, B2213s would be even better!
joe_347V   [Nov 05, 2011 at 01:29 AM]
Well I'd wish some NOS Powerlites would come and kick out those FCO lumes that popped up last year. Laughing
streetlight98   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:08 AM]
That'd be nice to find some older powerlites maybe on ebay as they seem to mostly be gone now. The B2213 is probably the same size if not linger than a F40T12 or F32T8 lamp. Shocked
gailgrove   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:10 AM]
I can't picture it, I did find my NOS R47 on Craigslist but that was it.
streetlight98   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:14 AM]
Not even a used one? I know an NOS one wouldn't be found unless there's a sealed off portion of the MTO stock room. Wouldn't you love to find a room sealed off for 50+ years filled with unopened boxes of mercury cobraheads, lamps, truss arms, etc? Unfortunatly thats only a dream and the odds of that are next to none. Sad
gailgrove   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:17 AM]
That would be a wonderful dream but that's all it will ever be, there is possibly that some utility company or contractor could have some NOS lights but they'd likely be R7s, R47s R37s or B2255s not anything from the 60s.
joe_347V   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:17 AM]
Powerlite lumes aren't that common on eBay, the only thing I found was this ballast housing.

And yeah the B2213 is around four feet long, the older Powerlites are mostly gone from the streets now but you can still see them in older parking lots.

I'm betting some supply house here probably has a NOS old Powerlite cobra or two stashed in the back. Shocked
gailgrove   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:21 AM]
Is the person selling that insane or what? They are asking $150 for it plus $200 for shipping. Shocked
streetlight98   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:22 AM]
Stuff from the early 70's still pops up on the bay. Take my M-400 for example. The instruction sheet was posted on the auction, but I never got it. Mad Probably got water damage as the seller mentioned the origional boxes had moisture damage. come to think of it, I've never polished my M-400 as long as I have had it. It could definetly use a goor polish to make it shine again.
joe_347V   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:27 AM]
I wonder is NOS Powerlite cobras ever showed up at Restore before.
streetlight98   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:29 AM]
I'm sure it would be expensive as thrift stores and the like seem to base their prices on wieght and size...... Other times the pricing is just random.
gailgrove   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:30 AM]
Well I can picture a used one, that salvage yard with the B2213s had about 20 150 watt HPS R47 at it!
joe_347V   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:31 AM]
Not really, I got some nice 60's mercs at Restore for 5 bucks each, HPS chokes for a buck each, MH ballasts for 15 bucks each, and 1kW lamps for 50 cents there. Razz
streetlight98   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:34 AM]
lamps and ballasts aren't four feet long and don't weigh over 50 pounds. Razz
joe_347V   [Nov 05, 2011 at 02:35 AM]
I got this for ten bucks. Razz
