Sigh...
Well, the old Powerlite fluorescent streetlights in this parking lot have been replaced last summer with some unknown LED fixtures. Notice how much the arms stick out now since the old fluorescent fixtures had extra deep slipfitters to support the heavy lume (6' HO). Personally I think the Philips-Lumec roadstar fixtures would have looked better if they had to use LED.

Note sure about the model, make, or wattage though.

Hmm these look pretty cool. IMO, snip off the excess mast arm and install 400W MV Powerlite B2215s Smile to be honest, are these lights even needed with that massive highmast only a few hundred yards away?

I think the poles date to the same era the B2215 was made too. Razz Anyways I remember the highmasts not having that much throw so the light more of less stays under the freeway. Even some of the outer lanes aren't lit that well, as the highmasts are mounted in the median of a 16 lane freeway (8 + 8 lanes C/D).

I'm surprised they changed them out though, I thought these lights were more or less forgotten as no one really relamped them.

I still know of at least three Powerlite fluorescent streetlights left but they're the 4 foot version.

This looks like the first non-FCO LED fixture I've seen installed on a road!

A lot of intersections of highmast freeways and HPS arterial roads cross each other with their lamp systems overlapping too! In Ontario, Canada
