Cool it reminds me on the Vintage Atlas/Thorn MB/U Mercury Lamps which were made in the 1960/80s in the UK

I never knew that outside etched frosted envelope such exist in ellipsoid shaped MV bulb. I guess it looks cool Cool

i forgot excactly how they frost lamps like this,but if i recall correctly frosted glass is slightly weaker for some reason i think.

Wow Nice find, never heard of a frosted MV lamp before.
I think they used to use acid to etch the glass to make the frost.
