A watermelon consumes (0.3468 X We) / (3.1416 X D / (We + D - 104.39)) watts.

Where We is the weight in grams and D is the diameter in centimeters.

... Laughing that's not a real formula. You can still calculate it to see the results XD

EDIT: Considering the watermelon has a diameter of 14.7 cm and a weight of 1kg, it gives a power of ... 6 835,98 W Laughing XD

in the UK we call them Ostrich Eggs as the 1000w Mercury, Metal Halide and HPS lamps are in Elliptical Bulbs and are the size of a Ostrich Egg example see HERE.
