You found these! I remember seeing them back in the day & thought they were kinda strange so I never bought one. I've been trying to find one for years now. Are they rapid-start? My newer (standard spiral) MaxLites are.

The shape reminds me of a giant carbon incandescent filament, wonder how this looks with a big glass bulb over it.

Remember the OLD IKEA CFLs like that but slightly different? Reminds me of those. Yeah, it this programmed or instant start?
