There's still some in North York (around Yonge and Empress area) and I don't think they're up for replacement anytime soon.

Yeah I seen those there were even some that held signals. The last time I saw one of these shoebox lights with a signal on it was 2004. Then the other 2 without signals on the road didn't get replaced until 2011 into 2012. The ones here were all direct bury.

This reminds me a little of this shoebox in Niagra Falls. I believe it's 1000W MV with a clear lamp. It seems like it would be MH but the light as rather green and it wasn't much brighter than a 400W MH even though it has a BT56 envelope. It could have been a failing MH though since i know sometimes MH lamps run dim and green when the cap is bad or something else is wrong...

Here's a pair of Widelight floods in the same area.

It's possible that it was 1kW MV, Niagara Falls is one of the few places in Ontario who still have merc streetlights.

yeah there are a few of them. they're mounted at crosswalks all along Niagra Parkway. Are those four MV Model 13s still there?

I'm not sure actually, they were still there last year but it seems Ontario has gone LED crazy in 2013, so I can't say. Neutral

aw i hope so. What wattage were they? They didn't look that bright. I'd say 100W MV but i don't think Ontario really used 100W MV? So maybe 175 or 250W? I feel like you may have told me before but I forgot... I know they had blue PCs and lots of bird poo...

They looked to be either 250w or 175w so maybe they were dimmed out. 100w MV lights are sorta rare in Ontario but I know these are 100w MV.

UPDATE: these lights are gone. Concrete poles, e-arms, OVX's or AEL 115's.
