I've seen those lamps before in, but they are rare. Is it a BT-37? The ballast & cap are huge too!

I agree the 750w HPS Lamp is hard to find, I bought a Unbranded 750w HPS lamp off the US E-bay 2 years ago, see HERE for Lamp Etch see HERE, I have never seen any since.

That is one wattage I have wanted for a while.

Yes it is a BT37. They are rare but they have a use in some places that's why they have not been discontinued Wink

Hi Dave

Bulbamerica still sell the 750watt HPS Lamp see HERE however they aren't very expensive at $245.83

E-bay did have 4 for $50 USD see
HERE, the only reason I didn't bid the Seller only shipped within the 48 states in the USA.

Other US Lamp suppliers list them for about $70 to $80 USD

In the UK we can get a Tubular Lamp known as PSL ( Photo Synthesis Light ) for Grow lights I have one see HERE

I hate to Price the Ballasts for these Lamps

All the Best

Why do they make the HPS lamp's envelope so skinny?
Form109   [Mar 11, 2011 at 09:52 AM]
what is the purpose of 750 Watt HPS?...why not just use 400 or 1000?
mercuryvaporrocks   [Mar 11, 2011 at 01:11 PM]
750 watt HPS seems ridiculous to me.
gailgrove   [Mar 11, 2011 at 07:40 PM]
Then try to figure out 35, 70, 200, 310, 430, 600, they "could" all use the next wattage up and/or down but really whats the harm in having more lamp variety? 750 watt puts out about 110,000 lumens VS a 400 watt one which only produces 50,000 or a 1KW which puts out 140,000, 110,000 is the same as a 1KW MH so to me it makes sense Razz
streetlight98   [Mar 11, 2011 at 09:13 PM]
Yeah, but you register more of the lumens with metal halide, so it looks brighter Razz

BTW Dave, here almost all the highmasts use 750 watt HPS lamps, so there are thousands likely tens of thousands in use here!

Yep I have a pic of a highmast fixture with some 75 tags on them.
