Three Hubbell RMC on longer arm Davits with a sharper bend than the Davits here in B.C.,and some NEMAS in Sumas Washington,a stones throw from the Canada/US border.
Delaware is FULL of those sharp davit arms!!! It's the state lighting!
In MD near me they are building a new road that have those....see here but I also have made NEW picture of those in several shots which will be uploaded soon!
Denver is popular with it's davits. They are EVERYWHERE. Lakewood is the city with the most Davits I think.. ALl of them are davits except for on freeways and on utility poles... But everything else is a davit. Some TRAFFIC SIGNALS had davit poles. With truss arms for the signals. Older ones were like that.
Here davits are used with new relay installations, though davits were used very early here. When I-95 was constructed in 1957, they used davit poles with 400W MV OV-25 split doors. Those poles still stand today with 250W HPS M-250R2 with small sections converted to relays instead of individual photocells.
On the other hand, truss arms have been used with tapered ellipticals on freeways as well. They're still used as replacements for NGrid owned state lights.
