New in MD! Davit Arms!
Now this is an installation I have never seen any recent times for the state lighting! Davit arms!!! Some of the more common in MD straight arms were actually installed at the same time as those davit arms here! Those davit arms are very similar to what I see in Delaware which even today they still install!

Wow nice! Washington state has similar davit poles on its freeways.

I haven't seen this type davit arm before here, over here davits were used a long time ago for provincial hwy. lighting around the '60s but now only some places here still use davits.

By the way....what sort of fixtures are those on the Davits?...Cooper's?
GullWhiz   [Oct 13, 2010 at 12:18 PM]
GE M-250R2
Form109   [Oct 16, 2010 at 11:34 PM]
are they High Wattage?...(200-250)
GullWhiz   [Oct 17, 2010 at 01:01 AM]
250 Watts
Form109   [Oct 17, 2010 at 05:53 AM]
i wonder if they will Cycle some time from now...its common in my Area for M250R2's to Cycle and sometimes be out compleatly (possibly the Lamps fault though) something tells me we use Alto Lamps.
GullWhiz   [Oct 17, 2010 at 02:42 PM]
There are two reasons for them to be out completely........one is leaked HPS lamp and you'll see the lamp blacked.....other reason...I'll explain later....its related to the lamp and ballast combination.......

I have noticed small GE will dol better with 250s than small Cooper fixtures

Jace I think there are more then 2 reasons for a light to be totally out Wink
GullWhiz   [Feb 25, 2011 at 10:43 PM]
name another....and ALTO does not count...because Sylvania and GE lowered their mercury like Philips.....so........

By the way everyone...I posted a video related to THIS and includes two different kinds of lights in the video! See here

Uh, igniter failure, ballast failure, wiring failure, capacitor failure, PC failure, underground wiring fault, just to name a few Confused
GullWhiz   [Feb 26, 2011 at 02:08 AM]
okey dokey!
Mercuryvapor123   [Mar 29, 2011 at 07:03 PM]
You know the davitt poles do have a nice look to them not too complicated. Like the traffic should move smoothly remindes me of DE.

The M-250R2 FCO doesn't have cycling problems. The SCO reflector does though.
