[Gone] Older 8-8-8 Traffic Signal Here's a older 8-8-8 traffic signal style that's no longer installed in Toronto. These used to be pretty common in Toronto before they started using 12-8-8s and 12-12-12 signals. There's still a handful of these still in Toronto but they are being quickly replaced by 12-8-8s or 12-12-12s, usually poly Fortrans, Econolites or LFEs. This one was replaced by a poly LED 12-8-8 around a month after this was taken, there are probably none of these left in Toronto now with the last 8-8-8s I know of being removed in early 2012. in my Area 8 Inch Signals can't Even be Found....in modern Times 12 Inch signals are Prefered for their Higher Visability...especially the ones that are Arrow.

I have honestly never seen a 8 inch arrow....I donno if they even exist....but we do have 8 inch around here....

8 inch are EXTREMELY COMMON in New York City.....also Frederick MD owned by the city are 8 inchers!

There are still some 8 inch arrows here,12 inch are replacing 8 inch,and new installations are all 12 inch now.

Yes,They make 8 Inch Arrows....Gadsden,Alabama has many 8 Inch Signals....especially in their Buisness District.

I've haven't seen a 8 inch arrow here before...the arrows here are always 12 inch even when paired up with a 8 inch yellow and green light. Most of the traffic lights here now are either 12-8-8 or 12-12-12s.

There are a FEW 8-8-8 signals in Brampton, also the street car ones downtown Toronto are 8-8-8

Yeah, Toronto still uses overhead lines in some parts of the downtown and the streetcar wires make the clutter even worse. Confused
