Nice lamp! I don't think it's Canadian though, the ones here were usually cleartop and had a sleeve like this.

Thanks!

ahh. I remember you had a sleeve like this so i thought it was canadian. Makes sense though since NH was on the sleeve.

Canadian Sylvanias are clearly recognizable. On the etch you can read "Sylvania-Canada", while American ones simply have "Sylvania" Razz

Yep, here's the Canadian etch vs the American etch. xP

The clear band design was only on the USA made Sylvanias in the mid-late 70s.

Do you currently have a 175w ballast? Pardon my ignorance...I know you got rid of a 175w MV yardblaster at one point...
joe_347V   [Sep 18, 2012 at 02:27 AM]
I think Mike still has that 175w probe start MH ballast which will also run MV.

Joe's right, though i don't use it. I tested these lamps on my OV-10, which has a true 175W MV ballast. I need to get the reflector back from my grandpa though. Laughing He was supposed to buff it out to make it shiney but he's been too busy. Plue we've been talking about upgrading his shop lighting. I'll go into detail about that in thr forum though since this would be a very long comment otherwise lol.
