My Newest Addition!
Yep a 85W Philips induction ballast and lamp from my uncle's friend. (The same person my OV-10 came from.) I believe this is new. I think he custom mounted this to a metal plate too. It came with a 3" cord with a hardwired plug on the end, but I added a longer cord and reinstalled the hardwired plug on the end, which is pictured in this pic. The color is soft white.

Shocked Nice find! You should stuff it in a highbay. Razz

Laughing Thanks. I came home from camp and there it was inside a cardboard box. Very Happy The driver and metal mounting plate get almost too hot to touch after about a 1/2 hour to an hour of use. Is that normal? I'm not going to try to touch the lamp, but I've put my hand about an inch from it and I can feel a good amount of heat. I thought that induction lamps gave off low heat and I've never heard of an electronic ballast/driver getting hot.

Thanks Darren and Dave! The lamp is about 8" tall and 5" wide. I have pics of where it once was. This is used but I'm unsure of how long. I'll post the pics soon...

It's normal for the heater lamp. These lamps give off much heat that's why they should be mounted on a metal or aluminium base.

Congratulations, these lamps are no longer manufactured by Philips from the beginning of the year. And components are no longer for sale.
What is the datecode ?
streetlight98   [Jul 09, 2012 at 06:31 PM]
It was made in Holland. The date code is difficult to read but could it be f05?

Wow! That's a nice lamp there.

Thanks. Smile There's a small amount of phosphor the fell off the top of the lamp under the etch but that doesn't seem to greatly affect the lamp.
