Westinghouse OV-25 inside after cleaning.
Did a nice cleaning of this fixture, this is the one with the bullet holes, This had lots of dirt in it and a SECOND dead moth under the ballast. Ewww. Now it's nice and clean.

I think the ballast might be 240 volts and 120... I need to look.

Fixture looks in great shape for how old it is and being shot at.

I bet the refractor got shattered during it being shot. Unless the refractor just got a hole in it but I wouldn't know because there was no refractor that came with the two fixtures.

How will I fix the reflector?
Antstar85   [Feb 06, 2012 at 10:30 PM]
I'd personally would just get some tin tape and just patch the holes. You could also pop rivit some tin over the holes but that may show more.
streetlight98   [Feb 06, 2012 at 10:33 PM]
Yeah I'd go with the tin tape. Maybe you'll come across a spare reflector someday...

I believe a OVM would work but I'm not sure. Confused
streetlight98   [Feb 06, 2012 at 11:25 PM]
Yep. any medium light from the OV-25 remote balalst up to the OVM will work. The OVD/Y/F has the newer Cooperized reflector though. I think this reflector is actualy too deep for the OVD/Y/F

I just wonder.. Why is the label in a different place than the other one? Unless my other one had a label in the same place too but it got ripped off, and this one had a label on the side as well and that one got ripped off...

Man the ballast is LOUD in this thing! Louder than the other one! So annoying to have it on. At least the ballast works! I wonder why these were about to be scrapped if they work just fine.

And the OVM reflector didn't fit, it's too deep. The OVM is a bit bigger so the reflector is deeper. So the door wont close all the way with an OVM reflector so I would need an OV-25 reflector. I am not so sure if a flatbottom one would work.

Actually won't a OVY reflector fit the OV25 since the new ones use those reflectors or did they modify the mounts.
LilCinnamon   [Feb 08, 2012 at 02:34 PM]
Well the OVF-D-Y reflector uses a screw to hold the reflector in and the OV-25 doesn't have a screw hole. The new OV-25's were redesigned to use them, and plus the housing was changed a bit too so the Cooper OV-25 probably used the same reflector as the OVM, and it actually fit. And later they used the OVF-D-Y reflector.
