Hinge broke off?
streetlight98   [Oct 30, 2011 at 01:25 PM]
Could be. This happens to a few M-250R2s here. Sometimes the latch breaks off if the door is handled too roughly.
joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 05:17 PM]
Hmm do the hinges on these break easily, this wasn't the first Cooper OV 25 with a taped on door or a missing door. I guess Niall or Darren would know since they both have one with the same hinge design.

All we can do is wait and see if the tape fail Razz
joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 05:42 PM]
Well the last taped up OV 25 got replaced with this. Shocked
streetlight98   [Oct 30, 2011 at 07:13 PM]

joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 09:16 PM]
I really want to know who installed that though. Razz Laughing
gailgrove   [Oct 30, 2011 at 09:31 PM]
Well I know the Westinghouse Canada OV-25 has strong hings but as soon as Cooper touched it I'm sure they got weaker.
joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 09:32 PM]
Isn't that what Mike called "Cooperization" Laughing
streetlight98   [Oct 30, 2011 at 09:47 PM]
Yeah Laughing Cooper does Cooperize everything they sell thoguh. Mad
joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 10:13 PM]
Like that NEMA tag.
streetlight98   [Oct 30, 2011 at 11:11 PM]
No, that's Electromarkified. Razz Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 30, 2011 at 11:31 PM]
Yeah but they were used instead of the gold tags becuase of Cooperization. Laughing
streetlight98   [Oct 30, 2011 at 11:38 PM]
Yep. i like those metallic tags the older lights had. The L-150 and L-250 as well as the Tudors and the GE lights of the 70's and 80's used metallic tags.

i love when they do this treatment lol Very Happy
MercuryVapor175   [Mar 07, 2012 at 09:32 PM]
A same pole that I reported to the Toronto Hydro, with a door that opened, and they just taped it with electrical tape, rather common in Toronto.
joe_347V   [Mar 08, 2012 at 12:21 AM]
I've noticed Toronto seems to be less replace happy than Markham. If that light was here I guess it'd already be an OVF. Rolling Eyes
Model25FanForever   [Sep 02, 2013 at 11:08 PM]
I really don't like seeing those. Shocked I think it has to do with the latch's breaking.
streetlight98   [Sep 03, 2013 at 12:18 AM]
you don't like seeing the lights or the tape? yeah the spring in the latch probably broke or something.
joe_347V   [Sep 03, 2013 at 12:19 AM]
It could be because the hinge broke too. Razz I wonder if that taped up AEL 125 on the 401 is still there. If it is it's been like that since 2007. Shocked
