[Gone] GE M-250A
Here's what appears to be a GE M250A light that was installed sometime between 2007-2008. I'm not sure if this is a refurb or is a new fixture.

EDIT This is a GE M-250A thanks to Darren for confirming the model.

Yep,a GE M-250A
joe_347V   [Aug 13, 2010 at 04:36 AM]
Thanks Darren, The M-250As aren't that common in my area so it was kind of odd seeing this being installed, but still this is a nice classic cobra.
Form109   [Aug 13, 2010 at 05:10 AM]
they quit making the M250A Right?
lite_lover   [Aug 13, 2010 at 06:12 AM]
Yes,that's correct...must be a refurb with a new plastic refractor and Fisher Pierce PC.
Form109   [Aug 13, 2010 at 07:55 AM]
Looks like an AEL Plastic to me.
GullWhiz   [Aug 13, 2010 at 07:02 PM]
it can also be a FP plastic refractor.....but I see a few differences compared to the older GE M=250A
joe_347V   [Aug 13, 2010 at 08:21 PM]
To me, the refractor looks like the one that's on Darren's R47 here.
Form109   [Aug 13, 2010 at 09:41 PM]
what is an FP Refractor?
GullWhiz   [Aug 14, 2010 at 05:40 AM]
lite_lover   [Aug 14, 2010 at 06:02 AM]
Yeah, looks like Lexalite Corp. brand refractor like on my R47.

They actually have some of these M-250a's around 25. They are FCO though. I was surprised to see them! I think those FCO's are utilized by the state. I need to get some pics of them!
GullWhiz   [Sep 19, 2010 at 01:12 PM]
If they are angled...then they may be custom...I know there are actually a VERY RARE version of GE M-250A FCOs....
joe_347V   [Sep 20, 2010 at 03:45 AM]
@ Ian, Interesting, I wonder how does a FCO M-250A looks like, are they just like the drop lensed one but with flat glass or with a round lens like the FCO M-400A2
streetlight98   [Dec 30, 2011 at 12:04 AM]
Is that... a BAIL LATCH on the M-250A??? Shocked
LilCinnamon   [Dec 30, 2011 at 01:59 AM]
You did see a pic of those FCO M-250 A2's, as I realized, they were induction. So they weren't exactly GE.
streetlight98   [Dec 30, 2011 at 02:18 AM]
BTW, I think this is the rare M-250A FCO Jace was talking about here
LilCinnamon   [Dec 30, 2011 at 02:26 AM]
That looks different than I would of thought. o.o Instead of it being round it's the normal shape of a small.
streetlight98   [Dec 30, 2011 at 02:29 AM]
The lens is also recessed to make it level. It also gives it a slight house side shield. Smile
LilCinnamon   [Dec 30, 2011 at 02:31 AM]
The light in this picture (up there) Kind of looks like the FCO version with the Drop Lens attached. Hard to tell.. But it looks like it.
joe_347V   [Dec 30, 2011 at 02:40 AM]
The other M-250A in my area looks more "standard". Razz

And yeah it kinda does look like the FCO version Mike linked to but with a drop lens.
