Cooper OVH mounted.
Her is my OVH mounted outside, very white outside and COOLD! Also windy.

How does this look? This has the new door on it so it holds up fine.

Look nice and shiny?

Not shiney, but looks pretty good. i never liked how cooper has the lamp hand down on an angle like that. Confused Looks like the reflector is too cheesy to hold the lamp straight.
LilCinnamon   [Dec 31, 2011 at 07:32 PM]
Yeah I noticed that, the lamps always aim down. And the bracket in the reflector is designed to do that, And the reflector is designed to have the lamp aimed down too, If you look closely. Well in my other pictures.

The new door makes this fixture look nicer in my opinion. It fits better than the old one as well.

The bottom of the door looks great. The side has soem wear to it though...

How well does the paint do on Coopers? I don't ever see any coopers with paint chipping off... Like the OVM or any fixture I have seen, the paint has been fairly well on the fixtures.. They seem better than GE in my opinion. (The paint job) And the paint job seems to last longer.. My OVM still has a good coating of paint on it after being in service for a while..

The older coopers did really well in terms of holding paint. The OVM, OVS, and OVC here still have most of the paint. The newer Coopers around here (withen the past 10 years or so) are horrible. Paint chipping off in chunks just like some AEL lights. The older Thomas & Betts/ITT lights held their paint well too. I find for GE though (going by the ones around here) 60's were good at holding paint, 70's some were great, but others not, 80's- early 90's had paint "melt" off, late 90's to present seem to hold paint well.
Just my two cents lol...

I haven't seen any coopers lose their paint much... The OVH I Have which was made in 1998 has the paint on still very well, my 2001 OVX's have the paint held on great as well. OVM is great, pretty much all of my Cooper fixtures are great. Even the Westinghouse ones, both my OV-25's have good paint on them.

My 325 has the paint almost off, but that was from 1992, about the same age as me. The paint is almost OFF My M-250 R1, and the M-400 A1 has like almost no paint on the top housing but the bottom doors are just fine. Except for the refractor door.

My model 25's the paint is wearing off of them. But they still have a good amount on them.

So I guess Coopers must of had the best paint jobs.

Both my OV-25 and OV-10 had no paint left, but then again both are from the 1950's versus the 70's. The M-400 split doors here from the 70's though have no paint left on top and very little left on the doors.

This OVH has a hammered texture on it, kind of like the OVS, but the bumps aren't as big.

Was cooper the big one for using hammered textures? Because every cooper light I have has a hammered texture on it. No matter how new.
streetlight98   [May 04, 2012 at 08:36 PM]
Just out of curiosity, how come you never brought up any of your cooper lights having a hammered texture before you got the OVS? The hammered finish is probably just to make it look fancy since most Cooper lights are boring looking lol.
LilCinnamon   [May 05, 2012 at 01:42 PM]
Because I didn't know what a hammered texture was until I GOT the OVS.

The cooper lights look pretty good in my opinion, I like the OVH, it looks very cool, at least in my opinion. I like the OVX as well.

I like the OVC, OVM, OVS, but those are the only cooper designs I'm really that fond of.
LilCinnamon   [May 05, 2012 at 08:33 PM]
I have never heard of the cooper OCM. What does it look like? *looool*

You mean OVM.
streetlight98   [May 05, 2012 at 09:07 PM]
Gotta love the "e" button. Smile
LilCinnamon   [May 05, 2012 at 09:27 PM]
What does the "E" Key have to do with "OCM" instead of "OVM"?

I think he means the edit button. Laughing
LilCinnamon   [May 05, 2012 at 09:59 PM]
Oh duhhhh. That is very handy. But then it makes it look like I said that to nothing.
streetlight98   [May 05, 2012 at 10:19 PM]
lol yeah i meant the edit button.
LilCinnamon   [May 11, 2012 at 03:18 PM]
I do think these ones look good, not really bad at all. Much better then the Durastar I will say that. xD

The OVX has the more classic design, Even though no one seems to like the OVX.

The OVH IS an OVZ with a different door and a different reflector.
TiCoune66   [May 11, 2012 at 04:26 PM]
To me the OVX has a pretty weird design LOL.
joe_347V   [May 11, 2012 at 04:36 PM]
I'd say OVX and Durastar both have a weird design. Razz

But LED fixtures are even weirdly designed than them. Laughing
