Two Copper OVXs on the parking lot of Carmel hospital
They are HPS. They also have NEMA tags, but the tags are probably ignored by the crew, since they aren't relevant to Israel and also if these fixture would be upgraded to MH, these tags will be retains.

Those are actually 150 or 250 watt? the 40 on the sticker would be 400 watt......I mean the Cooper company wouldn't put tags in if Israel who orders them did not request them, plus Cooper would not put different wattages on them.....check

this page you'll see it has custom order in it too... (note...the one in the page I sent is a newer model OVX of the above fixture which is an older model...there are a few difference on the design see here

Jace, i don't know why the tags are exist in these 2 lanterns, but they aren't 400W, but 150W, since this parking lot don't require 400W HPS roadlights. I think the agency that the storage of Carmel hospital buyed from them, imported these lanterns directly from the US as are, with the tags in them and without equipment, to allow the use of israeli equipment (Eltam reactor ballasts and ignitors).
Also, since 150W is the only wattage of HPS that the storage of Carmel hospital holds, these lanterns must be 150W and with the additional german AEG Koffer 150 lanterns in this parking lot which uses 150W HPS lamps, this is also an evidence.

@Jace actually you have to specify to not have NEMA tags, so they likely didn't do that.

But if the got it without ballast...then it wouldn't have a NEMA tag Question
DimBulb   [Sep 16, 2010 at 10:52 PM]
Maybe they were purchased as surplus from the US then converted to 150w.

i agree with Henry.

and whats up with that Floodlight below the cobraheads?
joe_347V   [Sep 17, 2010 at 04:09 AM]
Yeah I agree with Henry too, I've seen some older lights here in a parking lot that still had their original Nema tag on them after they were converted.

I guess the floodlight below the cobras was added later to add more light.

This is also possible. That the wholesale purchased these Copper OVXs as surplus and offered them with 150W lamps.
