My two newest street light additions!

Both were added to my collection just this month. The teardrop is a rare Reflect-O-Lite, it was a company in Glendale, CA. The glass may possibly be a Joslyn though. It was one of the thousands of series incandescent teardrops that once graced the streets in Los Angeles in those areas where street lights are mounted on wooden poles with overhead wiring. The bushings are made of porcelain and they serve as insulators against the high open circuit voltage which is typical of street series circuits. The wires that were cut off are still present inside the bushings, they are thick, looks to be around 8 AWG. It didn't come with a bulb and socket, but I had the required parts so I made it whole, lol.

The little clamshell is a Joslyn, possibly a MV111. I got this through a trade with a local street light collector, you may know him as vintagelites here on GoL. There is an identical model still in service in Pasadena, on a series circuit. Mine is in much better shape though, the one in Pasadena has BB dings in the glass. It can be run with lamps up to 250w but I am going to run it as a 100w. I got a period correct GE Bonusline 100w /C merc to go with it.
