Gosh! The lamp is still there. No glass though. Was this drop lens or FCO?

Ouch! Poor light. I noticed this one has a white HPS wattage label - when did they switch from white to yellow?
streetlight98   [May 03, 2011 at 11:35 PM]
It's faded. GE never used a white label, it was a silvery shiney material. They switched to yellow long before 1997 anyways.

Oh ok.
lite_lover   [May 04, 2011 at 02:20 AM]
This was a FCO,the socket, ballast and capacitor is ok,just the plug-in ignitor went flying out and was crushed by passing traffic. I'm not sure why the NEMA tag is pale yellow to white, this fixture is only from 2004 and wouldn't think that it should fade on the bottom that much as it's not even exposed to sunlight.I have other GE fixtures that have been in service longer with NEMAs which are deeper yellow.

Nice fixer upper! Laughing
Well at least the parts are useful.
streetlight98   [May 04, 2011 at 08:12 PM]
Have you tested this yet?
gailgrove   [May 04, 2011 at 09:10 PM]
Well since the igniter is gone it wouldn't work Wink
streetlight98   [May 04, 2011 at 09:12 PM]
He has a 250w HPS M-400R2. The ignitor could easily be removed to test this one. Wink

I have 3 Ignitors that are in good condition, and one ignitor that was broken when I got my M-400 A2.

So that makes 4 ignitors, and I only use two of them.
lite_lover   [May 05, 2011 at 08:20 AM]
Hey Ian,keep me in mind if you can spare an ignitor.Yes Michael, that's exactly what I did is borrow the ignitor from the M-400R2 to test the ballast,it's working fine.
LilCinnamon   [Oct 06, 2011 at 08:48 AM]
Do you still have some parts of this light? Like the power door refractor door, ballast bracket, and the bracket that holds the refractor door and power door on in the middle?

How intact are they?

Oh and I have two extra ignitors.. The plastic is a bit busted on one and the other the plastic in the middle on both sides are completly off (that one came with my M-400 A2 that was surprisingly this way when I Got the fixture in the mail)
lite_lover   [Apr 13, 2012 at 07:30 AM]
The ballast, cap, socket and the bracket that holds the powr/door is intact, while everything else was damaged.
LilCinnamon   [Apr 13, 2012 at 12:29 PM]
When you send me my M-400 A3 can you send me the bridge from this busted M-400 A3? I could use it for stuff.. lol.

I cut an M-400 R3 door in half a bit ago.. I thought maybe I could use that as a power-door type thing. xD I am not sure.
streetlight98   [Apr 13, 2012 at 10:19 PM]
Do you have a special laser that can cut metal ian? Shocked Razz Laughing
lite_lover   [Apr 22, 2012 at 08:38 PM]
Yes I will send that piece to you with the fixture.
