10,000K and similar high kelvin indium iodide lamps, often used in Israel as colored metal halide lamps or as daylight MH lamps, for area floodlighting. Their spectra consist of a very wide indium iodide blue and violet lines with a thin black reabsorption line on the shortest wavelength direction and a very strong molecular continum, because of the large dose or pressure of the indium iodide.
Btw, i saw this spectral phenomenon of the 10,000K MH lamps also in several green MH lamps. Green MH which exhibited this spectral phenomenon of the 10,000K MH lamps, have a more of a pastel whitish green color, or even yellowish green color.
It would be interesting to see a 10K (10000deg K) lamp lit I have two of these but in 20K (20000 deg K and they give a deep Blue Light.
All the Best
Colin
