Big score #1! Sylvania Canada H36-15GW/W 1000W mercury lamp!
My eyes popped out when I found not one, but TWO Sylvania 1000W /W mercury vapour lamps! They were at the very same place I found the GE /W!

The specimen pictured above is probably older because of the ordering code not having the /RS suffix. Yet the lamp is of the girder frame type. It also has moderately high hours. I can't wait to find a 1000W mercury vapour ballast so I can test those three awesome 1000W /W lamps!

The other Sylvania lamp mentioned earlier is pictured up next!

Nice lamps! Now you just need a ballast.

Actually its likely newer than the one with the /RS suffix. I have a Sylvania Banner from '63 with the RS suffix and also seen it on a '67 Sylvania. None of my very late 60s-70s Sylvanias have this suffix.

Nice score! Now you just need a ballast or a 1kw cobra to light them in! Very Happy

UPDATE 08/21/2011: I tested this lamp on a 250W HPS lamp and it wouldn't ignite, even with the ignitor plugged. Although mobylden seals are in good shape, so there may be a chance of getting it back to life.

I have gotten 400 watt Bonus line come back to life...using....a bug zapper transformer, followed by a 1500 MH ballast....the problem was there was too much debris on the area where the starting probe was......so using the HIGH voltage may have kinda helped clean out and move the debris around (I had to have the base UP while powering it in high power) and now it light up WHENEVER I tell it to in normal ballast! Wink That old MV had roughly 45 years of service (at least was inside a streetlight for 45 years but I donno when it "stopped working in streetlight"

Hmm so that's how you got that old Bonus line working again Jace!
Thanks for the tip! Very Happy

UPDATE 03/27/12: I just bought a very cool (and probably sorta rare) lamp, a Westinghouse H38-4JA/W! O.O

The weird thing is, I am looking for more /DX lamps, but I always find /W ones!

Shocked Oooh MINE!

I only have one hi-output white lamp, and it's one of my favourites ever. I'd be happy to trade you a /DX for a /W LOL.
