Another one!

I couldn't leave this one at the recycle centre, even if I'm moving and must greatly restrict what I salvage. I tested it using the same method as with my other /SDB tube. Once the electrodes are hot (it takes a few seconds) it gets to a pretty high intensity and seems to radiate some serious UV energy! You can see the blacklight effect on the same old yellow toothbrush I placed in the other pic with the Sylvania tube. There's a visible blacklight effect on everything light-coloured several feet around!

Quoting a Gull: "That's not a T17! It's a T5!"

(Inside joke between me and him. Ask him and he'll explain it as he's the one who started it.) Razz Laughing

Ooh nice! I wish I could find a T17. If I do find one, I'll try to make me a T17 fixture.

WOW!!! Awesome find!!! Where would this have been used?

I think these were used to cure inks on printing machines. I have a similar F48/VHO BL reflector lamp which might have been used for a similar purpose.

hmm they didn't seem to cure the ink on this etch too well lol.

Maybe it got brittle from the UV. Laughing
