GE 100W G40 lamp.
Found in the same I got the Westinghouse sealed beam. Curiously the packaging is GE-branded, but the lamp inside is CGE-branded.

Yeah I remember these lamps back on LG. They have light blue packages right?

Do they sell these G40 lamps at Lowe's or home depot? If/when i get the stained glass chandelier from my aunt and uncle with the preheat fluorescents, I'll be either putting in a G40 incandescent or buying an opal glass globe to cover the lamp since i belive it had a retainer for a glass globe. the lamp in it is a G20 or G30 IIRC. either 40 or 60W; not bright at all. it's a huge light too. I really love those beautiful dome shaped stained glass chandeliers. i remember then in many resturants as a kid. There's one resturant in the Merrideth, NH area called the Homestead that has stained glass chandeliers in one of the rooms. they're really nice lights but VERY expensive when bought new. Shocked IIRC, the shape of my aunt and uncle's light is somthing similar to this one.

I'm not sure but I do remember these being quite common in the 90s. They were often used in those stained glass tables or I think over pool tables.

I still have a Sylvania G40 from either the early 90s or 80s lying around somewhere.

my grandma has a ceilign fan in her room that is supposed to be used with one base up G40 lamp and four standard lamps at a 45 degrees base up position but all the lamps are A17 Philips Duramax lamps. She took the G40 lamp out for some reason and i'm not sure why... It worked...
