The Mile High Light
Well, maybe not quite a mile, but these 175w MH wallpacks were at least 40 feet up. I can't see these doing much but we had to fix them anyways. The one on the left needed a lamp and ballast and the one on right just needed a lamp. Both are wired straight to the breaker so they're on 24/7.

Seems bizarre to be that high up and on all the time...

i agree... how com you guys didn't install a button or swivel photocell on the fixtures? do the owners know they run 24/7?

Lemme guess...this building is a hospital?

We suggested that we install a photocell, for some reason they didn't want one... That's a government institution for you. Rolling Eyes Your guess was close, it's a nursing home.

Now they'll just replace them with LED fixtures since the old ones supposedly use too much energy! Laughing

Just like the LED lights in Mississauga that went up over the past year. I swear half of them dayburn at any given time. Rolling Eyes

Gailgrove what voltage are they?
gailgrove   [Dec 04, 2013 at 08:40 PM]
These lights in the picture? They're 120 volt, however the rest of the lights were 347 volt, these lights seem like they were an afterthought and not a very good one at that.

yeah I personally would have installed two 250W flood lights (preferably with twist-lock photocells) in between the 3rd and 4th floors instead of 175W wall packs all the way up that high.

A mile high would be where I live. xD Well, above sea level that is. That is what Denver is known as. xD
