1995 Fisher Pierce PC
A nice unit (thanks Bob Arenella!) The plastic seems to be corroding a little bit, even though this has the newer softer plastic.

Looks similar to my Regent/Designer's Edge rebrands.

ahh the good old days when residential lighting companies used "real" photocells eh? Laughing

Yeah, when did they even switch to those cheesy thermal ones. Razz
streetlight98   [Aug 31, 2013 at 10:55 PM]
i think by the end o the 90s most manufacturers were supplying clear thermal units.

Ahh, it looks like my yardlights were the last to come with a real PC then. I think the ship to label on the box dated to 2000.

maybe you had them longer up there than in the states? from what i've seen most yardlights had the short clear ones by the end of the 90s. only the true NEMA head kits still include a name brand PC and name brand lamp. GEs supply GE lamps (obviously) and ALR PCs, AELs have Philips lamps and DTL PCs, and i'm not sure what coopers have...

It's possible, we did have cleartop mercs and MV yardlights a few years longer than you guys. Razz

Interesting! Mine (1993) is like this except the "guts" inside the "window" look like your 1980 one.
streetlight98   [Feb 28, 2015 at 09:12 PM]
The guts are pretty much the same in both. Do you mean the shield is different? (the metal piece in front of the photoeye.) FP used a few different versions of those metal shields from the 70s through the early 2000s. They just seemed to use "whatever" lol.

Yeah, it looks like aluminum or stainless with lots of little holes in it.

Yep I have Fisher Pierces with that style shield.
