Devonte,is there still a good number of MV fixtures in your area?
Form109   [Jun 24, 2010 at 04:18 AM]
Tons of them on Residental Streets and some Parking Lots.....Very Few main roads have Mercury.

Indeed! Nice shot with the pinkish sky.

Thank you Tmcdllr! Very Happy

You are welcome. The pink of the sky goes well with the blue/green of the mercury lamp. And its cool cuz you also see the pinkish light on the pole and trees, really good shot.

I can remember waiting for the MV street light fired up at dusk when I was a kid up in my old neighborhood in Illinois.

Me too. At my Dad's house, I could stand in the kitchen at dusk and watch four different 175 watt MV GE M250s (all with coated lamps) come on one at a time. And across the way, there was a neighborhood that had incandescent gumballs everywhere, I could probably see at least twenty different fixtures come on one by one. It was so cool, gosh I miss all that.

Tmcdllr- That must have been AWESOME!!!!
Form109- The colors in this pic ARE great!!!!

Yeah it was really cool. It was like that for probably 15 years then everything got changed to HPS.

Here in San Diego, the mercs were replaced with LPS in the early 1980s. Now it's mostly HPS with some LPS.

Nice shot! I like the pinkish sky background.

Here in Toronto, MV was replaced with HPS during the late '80s to the mid '90s from what I could tell by looking at the old pics of the streets.

Hey Guys Thanks for the Nice comments...Dimbulb we don't have any LPS Around here anymore....our only LPS was in a Post office Parking lot...they upgraded to Hubbel FCO HPS Cobraheads...Dallas and Mesquite,Texas do have Patches of LPS in Parking lots and Frontage Roads of Interstate 30.
