Ouch!
The refractor was already cracked but the reflecttor sure got the hell beaten out of it! I was able to mostly reshape it with a hammer, screwdriver, and an adjustable wrench. it had fit loose when i first fixed it but now it's really snug after working on it some more. so the reflector is good enough. i fixed the refractor with krazy glue too as a temporary fix until i cough up the cash for a new bucket of find one cheap.

My gumball had a dented reflector too, and well for the refractor I guess you could get those GE SA ones from the online surplus site or get a 12" yardlight bucket.

I like the latter idea so you still have the original NEMA reflector assembly..

either way i can just cut the reflector off and use only the reflector. But I'm fine with the crack refractor, as i fixed it with krazy glue and it's actually holding really well.

Yeah that's nothing compared to the diffuser on my 175w yardblaster that's held together with TYVEK TAPE! Shocked Laughing

LOL. The refractor this has is a very thick Formed Plastics lens too. I'd rather have a slightly blemished thick and tough refractor over a fully intact yet thin and cheesey new refractor. I could always buy a new FP lens but why spend the money?

Yeah but mine REALLY could use a new diffuser...I'll just buy a (9"? need to measure it again) yardlight diffuser.

If you can't get a bucket separately just buy a yardblaster at lowes or HD, take out the bucket and return the light saying the bucket was missing. they'll give you your money back lol. BTW, If you can, I'd upgrade to a 12" refractor but if it's mounted right to the wall without an extension arm the 12" bucket might not fit depending on the model...

I can probably just find one at a hardware store, or even just remove the diffuser. With the bare bulb (which I see all the time) I am a bit worried about glare but is that really an issue since it's under an eve? I have a pic of the setup on LG...remember I'm ace1000w120v there...

having just the reflector won't be an issue if it's under an eve since water won't splash all over the lamp. you could leave it less the refractor but it would look tacky IMO. but leave the reflector part up if you can.

9" Yardlight reflector/refractor assemblies are pretty cheap. I remember a hardware store was clearing them out for $5 a piece around 4 years ago.
