Only the US spends money on things like that. Europe got lots of LPS they are smarter than us. and is that LED plastic? Crying or Very sad

And they're eyesores too. That's one of the reasons why I don't like LED street lights in general.

the latches look like they're cut from sheet metal. Very poor design. And besides, LEDs are supposed to be maintenance-free so they could just have it screw together instead of it having latches.

Yeah, its not like you're supposed to access the internals since LEDs are supposedly maintenance free. Even some HID fixtures had screws holding down the ballast door. Maybe they figured the driver would die before the LEDs so they used latches instead of screws for quick driver replacement. Laughing Rolling Eyes
