Ballast Can in Action!
As requested by Mike, here's a pic of my 70w HPS ballast can hooked up to my gumball. That 70w HPS ballast can looks pint sized compared to your typical paint can ballast can eh? xD

Lamp is a 70w Sylvania mogul base Lumalux from 1992.

In case you're wondering if the gumball has been HPS'd, it has since been returned to incandescent with a 200w frosted mogul base bulb.

Nice! Dare I say it, but I think this looks good in HPS. Smile

I myself am in no position to criticize you for HPS-ing a classic Gumball, as I have modified my OV20, Form 109, Form 400, and Line Materials Ovalite to accept ordinary household lightbulbs. Very Happy
streetlight98   [Mar 05, 2013 at 10:26 AM]
Same for my OV-25 remote ballast, but i didn't really modify it. just stuck a mogul base 200W incandescent in it lol. If i want a different wattage I'll screw in a mogul to medium adapter though. An A19 lamp is SOOOO small in the OV-25's reflector. Imagine a 100W incandewcent in an M-1000. Shocked
regennis   [Mar 05, 2013 at 06:15 PM]
Actually, that's what I meant; I screwed in a mogul socket to accept regular bulbs Wink

Hehe, it seems my HPS gumball pic has caused quite the controversy Razz . Anyway I usually keep a 200w mogul base incandescent in it.
