Old Underpass Light
Old 50s era smashed up underpass light sits below the HPS wallpack that replaced it.

I'm not sure but I think the old ones might have been made by Crouse Hinds (they didn't make streetlights at that point but they made stuff like traffic signals, hazard lighting, and conduit fittings) and was probably incandescent. It looks like it was later retrofitted to MV by adding the remote ballast box. If you look closely you can see where the conduit from the ballast box to the light ran.

Oh cool! Looks like an industrial version of one of those circular bulkhead lights. Too bad it's damaged. Sad Looks like they still used the same brand (well sorta the same) for the new wallpack. I like those wallpacks but I find it stupid how wallpacks typically used polycarbonate lenses even for higher wattages. And there's really no way to get a replacement lens. Confused

Yeah, there's some more left around and I think in better condition too. There's also another one that's recessed into the underpass wall.

Yeah, since the whole front of the wallpack is one piece you can't really replace the lens without ordering the entire front part of the wallpack. Personally I prefer using glass wallpacks for that reason.
