A 75w Merc!
Found this Sylvania 75w merc yesterday in the clearance section at a Home Hardware store.
It's being tested in the pic using my 50w MH Gardco recessed light.
It's not running the most ideal ballast but low watt mercury ballasts seem to be really hard to find and the 50w MH is the closest thing to a H43 ballast.

Hmm... I never saw any mercs at any Home Hardware that I went to.

Yeah Home Hardware seems to have the biggest variation of what they sell, in fact I scored this at a Home Hardware in Markham. And I've also heard of people finding LPS fixtures there.

There (supposedly) is a 18w SOX tube at Home Hardware as well, but never found it.

You mean this right? I've yet to see a Home Hardware that sells them, but Icefoglights here managed to find a store in BC that had one. The only place I saw LPS lamps being sold was at a RONA near Montreal.

Yep. I get my SOX lamps from a local lighting retailer.

I got my used Osram LPS lamps at Restore and my NOS Philips I got with my 18w LPS fixture.
