Now a Parking Garage Light
Well, here's my highbay head after I stuck a 12" yardlight refractor on. It sort of looks like those MH fixtures used in parking garages now. Only problem is 400w lamps stick out so I might swap out the ballast with either a 175w or a 250w MH ballast if I decided to regularly use this light.

Did you add the NEMA tag? Lithonia has a similar looking lowbay unit.

Interesting, it looks almost exactly like mine and it also has a 12" refractor. The NEMA tag was mine but I haven't stuck it on yet, you can still see part of the backing paper.

I never thought of doing this. Interesting idea! Unfortunately all I have left is a 9" closed refractor with a medium base cutout - not going to work on a 250w hi-bay ballast.

Hmm, I guess you could make a ballast box for a ED-17 HID and mount the reflector on that. Razz
