The birds themselves may have actually pecked their way in there. They did that to the light in front of my house. It was replaced in 2008.

These birds sure have a well lit house XD.

The birds here usually enter lights using the gap where the slipfitter is, I guess they can't peck through the glass refractors we use. Laughing
