My new lamp tester.
I'm inspired by Jace lately and decided to build this cool tester. It features two E26 socket an E12 socket, controlled separately.I have a lot of room inside the computer PSU so I'm gonna add:

- An E39 socket for incandescent.
- If possible, an H38 ballast with two sockets, an E26 and an E39, for all 100W mercury lamps.
- Of course, a 12V transformer and a fan to keep the ballast cool.

So if I can install everything, this tester will be awesome!

Hey I used a 120 volt fan found in Target....you know those small desk fans? The ballast box I have is bigger than the computer PSU but you may be able to do maybe 4 lights or something...depending on the ballast type....i think you could do a lot more low wattage HPS as the reactor ballasts are smaller...

Yeah it'd be easier to use a 120V fan, but if possible I'd fit everything INSIDE the PSU. I agree, a low wattage HPS would be cool as well, it depends of what I'll get in the future Wink

Nice. I use my fixtures to test my lamps. It's cheaper that way and does the same thing.

Nice, I use these plug in sockets and adapters to test my lamps.

This was mostly a novelty item and is now gone LOL. I use this lamp tester to try medium base incandescents and CFLs.
