in Texas its kinda similar on the interstates,in Rural Area's only exits and entrances are lit....and sometimes going into small towns interstates are lit like that,while in large cities there's pretty continious lighting.

in towns sometimes along a main road the only lighting along the road will be at the intersections with signals,and sometimes the traffic signals dont have lights on the poles or seprate.
