B2255 Ballast Door Mount
Here's the ballast on my B2255 shown mounted on the rear door like on a GE Powr/Door fixture. My B2255 originally had the ballast mounted in the fixture but some B2255s had the ballast door mounted like in this pic.

The factory door mounted B2255s had a connector near the hinge that disconnected the ballast when the rear door was opened instead of a plug though.

I've since mounted the ballast back to it's original position though, the door mounted ballast wasn't that practical when opening the rear door upside down.

Cool Very Happy where did you get that plug from? and on Tuesday I got another 400 watt B2255 so I have offered my current one to Jace in exchange for the Unistyle 400, I also got a 250 watt Crouse-Hinds OV-15 and a 150 watt OVZ Very Happy

Thanks I got the plug from a electronic surplus place so I figured I'd try door mounting the ballast on my B2255. Nice to see that your trading your B2255 with Jace for a Unistyle 400 and on getting those new lights too. Cool

Wonder how your 400w B2255 looks like does it have a NEMA tag or is it tagless like mine. Wink

Hey Joseph what happened to the picture of your B2255 and R47? You should post a new picture of both of them together and a open shot Razz

Oh, I recently moved it to my Streetlights and Traffic Signals album when I reorganized my pics, Click here to see it.

As for a open shot, I already have some views of the ballast sections of both lights in this album but I can take a pic of the lights with everything open if you want.

Oh okay thanks, if you want to post a new picture with them both open that would be great but it doesn't matter to me that much (although other members might like to see it) Razz
