*Sigh*
Well they have started to put up the new cobra heads in my grandmother's neighbourhood, and look at this they said the poles would be the same hight but they are A LOT taller (the old ones are 25 feet the new ones 32.5) also they used 8 FOOT tapered E arms I mean come on 8 feet in a residential area? Also they said they would lower the power consumption sure; the lowest they use are 70 watt HPS and the Twistpaks are 70 and the new ones are also 70 (no reduce in electricity there) not to mention my street currently has 9 Twist-Packs but will now have 12 THAT'S RIGHT 12 cobra heads.

Residental Lighting Varies in my area on the Age of the Neighborhood mostly...Lots of 8 Foot Upsweeps on Wooden Utility Poles, sometimes 4...and even Longer Double Guy Wire Arms...some Newer Areas have Post Tops and Older Areas use Metal Poles with 4 Foot Arms with Nemas on them.

Many places here are also have cobra heads but this is regarded as the nicest neighbourhood in the city, BTW this area is 50 years old.

Yeah, I don't see a lot of neighbourhoods with Twist-Packs or even posttops in use. Most of the neighbourhoods here use cobraheads or the coach lantern style light that you posted.

My neighbourhood like most here, uses 100W HPS cobraheads on 30-35 foot poles and 8' tapered e arms. I personally prefer shorter poles and arms with CMH lights though.
