Insisde the Utilitech Yardblaster.
Here is the inside, nothing special, Ballast is small, the ignitor is placed in there, things look kind of tight but not too tight.

I wonder how long this will last. As you see the lamp is angled. I wonder why they did that.

The ballast is mounted a bit crooked in here. And why isn't the lamp in the middle It's kind of aimed slanted.

Nothing is too crammed in here, but it is a small space. I wonder why they had THIS version and the other version of the same wattage and Lamp type. (70 watt HPS)

The angled lamp gives an assymetric lamp distribution. since there's no room in the middle of the socket, i guess they just put it at an angle like this to center the lamp.

Hmm would a HX-NPF MV ballast fit inside?

Not sure how big those ballasts are, but if I tried to fit my OV-15 ballast in here... It probably wouldn't fit, also, it's medium base, I don't have the bracket to put mogul base in it plus the thing was made for medium base. I might of converted my 70 watt yardblaster (Hanging outside) To Mogul base but that was easy since I had parts of a mogul base yardblaster (with socket) and it was easy to convert.

You could use a medium base mercury vapor lamp since they're the same size as medium base HPS and MH lamps. As for the ballast, if you can find one small enough you might possibly cram one in.

I doubt a ballast would fit in here in the first place. It is very small room in here. A reactor ballast fits perfectly but those are very limited in voltage.

This will stay 70 watts HPS, cause that's how it will stay, plus the ballast already in here is more insulated.

Isn't this kind of a small fixture for 70 watt HPS?
