Model 25 open.
Here it is open. And since it has been laying upright in the position seen here for months outside, it had lots of dirt in it and stuff, This is after I cleaned it out throughly. The stuff on the reflector I couldn't get off though...

But here it is, it doesn't even have an AE ignitor! Could this be a replacement ballast? The Capacitor is GE.. Which I don't get..

The ballast is probably original.

Why would this have a GE capacitor and a different kind of ignitor? The ignitor kind of looks like a small capacitor, but it isn't. It's not the open board it's metal and round like a capacitor, you can't see it in the picture as it's under the reflector.

I wonder why the components are different in this one than my other Model 25...

I have an AE ballast that has a GE capacitor, it's probably just the cheapest ones they could get at the time. I agree the ignitor looks to of been replaced, they sometimes do that depending on the lineman/utility company if the old one goes bad.

I saw that that other AE 325 Power pad that was laying on the ground (Next to the Power pad I GOT) had a GE ignitor, in fact I got a picture of the power door. More dead spiders in the other fixture but it had a GE ignitor. My Power door has the AE open board ignitor though.

Most likely that's the ignitor they had on the truck at the time, they are all interchangeable so it wouldn't matter. At least they actually take the time and effort to change the ignitors, here they don't... Oh and this is the original ballast and capacitor, just a new ignitor. Can you take a picture of the ignitor?

Because of the wirenuts I Know that this ignitor is a replacement not to mention it looks newer.

Xcel replaced ignitors long ago, as I know, my First Model 25 and my 113 had TWO ignitors and the newer one was wired up, so I know they replaced ignitors, even if the old ones worked......

Interesting, it's a bit harder to tell with the old Powerlites since they used wirenuts from the factory to wire in the ignitor.
