I actually believe that is a Hubbell.

Cool combo! That arm seems very close to that primary line too. Shocked

That arm does look like an MTO truss arm, very similar. Just on a wood pole version. xD

this looks like the RMG. The RMC is the cut-off version. These are rare here too. The only one I've ever seen was on an on-ramp on I-95. That on-ramp is gone now though because of the I-way Bridge project. Sad BTW, does your utility usually use two thru-bolts on truss arms? Here it's just one and the bottom just has lag bolts.

I just call it the RM, that works for all the small ones. Razz

Yeah, I never got the reason why companies have different models numbers for different optics. (I'm looking at you Cooper Laughing )

@Mike, I've seen another truss with four through bolts. I think for tapered e arms they only use one through bolt with a lag bolt for the bottom hole though.

I found a thru-bolt in my grandparent's basement (one with the T17 fixture) last night. I needed some bolt cutters to get some stuck bolts off that pole I have now and came across it. It has a square head, square nut, and square washer just like the real ones used by the electric company. I'm assuming it has something to do my great-grandpa working for the electric company, but why would it be in my grandpa's basement? lol. It was on the floor under a stack of newspapers so they won't be throwing it away or anything. I'll ask for it when I see them again.

Cool, I wonder how much utility "stuff" did he bring home with him, his basement sounds like a gold mine. Razz

The funny thing is he wasn't the one who worked for them, it was my greant-grandfather. In the backyard there's a closeline set up with utility crossbars and hardware mounted on 4"X4" sqare posts. It looks almost like two utility poels with two ropes running along the ends of the crossbars in the same spots where the primary lines would go. I'll get a pic next time.
