My Most Recent Project
Well I know I've been absent from this site for the last year or so, and I haven't gotten any new lights in that time anyways (I think my collection is complete for now). However last Monday I replaced my Dad's panel and I thought I'd share it with you guys. We went from a fuse panel to breakers. It was fun project, with a little bit of stress to get it done before 4:00 PM since that's when the inspectors stop working for the day. It did pass inspection fine and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Nice job! It looks like you extended some of the old wires to meet the new panel. Razz

Thanks Joe! I did have to extend five wires, the three going into the big junction box are for the kitchen split receptacles, I have no idea what the other two do. I also replaced two wires that went a few feet to the washer and dryer.

I took co-op last year and plan to again this year, it really is a great experience if you can do it. I'd seriously consider it if I were you!

I don't know if my school has it. What school did you go to?
gailgrove   [Aug 24, 2013 at 03:15 AM]
I believe all schools in Peel have it, ask in the guidance office. I go to Turner Fenton.

Hmm I thought the Coop was a Ontario thing, I went to HS in York Region and they also had it.

I guess they might, il have to ask my guidance counselor
gailgrove   [Aug 24, 2013 at 06:49 PM]
Thanks rjluna!
You should definitely ask, I assume you're going into grade 11? If so you can take it either this year or next, or both if you want!
Model25FanForever   [Aug 24, 2013 at 06:50 PM]
Yea probably both whats the program called?
gailgrove   [Aug 24, 2013 at 06:53 PM]
Just co-op, guidance should be able to tell you everything you need to know. You can also take OYAP like I did. If you do that, you can put your co-op hours towards an apprenticeship.

Thanks Razz

Thanks! I hope I can get in without a hassle
streetlight98   [Aug 24, 2013 at 11:13 PM]
is a co-op program similar to a vocational program?
joe_347V   [Aug 25, 2013 at 12:44 AM]
IIRC Coop is basically a program where the school helps you find a short job placement where you work as a apprentice, since I never enrolled in it I'm not sure if the company that hires you teaches you or the school teaches you.

There's different fields like accounting, retail, plumber, electrician to name a few.
