OLD Traffic Signals
These are actually round signals with square doors! Well, two are. These also have cutaway visors which are super rare here as the tunnel style is the norm here. These have long been LED though.

Nice find! Can't tell exactly on my phone screen but they sound like they're Econolite bullseye signals which were made in two models, the other model had round doors.

Cutaway visors are as common as gulls here in Ontario. Razz

Oddly the signal cluster on the left looks like some McCains. Razz

thanks! i don't think it's a McCain signal since all the signals on this mast are pretty old. Perhaps someone before McCain used the same molds?

I think McCain used to be called Mid-West Signal but I don't know who used that design before that.

i am pretty sure the signals on the left are Singers from the 70s-80s
streetlight98   [Mar 18, 2013 at 07:34 PM]
nice! how old are the bullseyes?
basilicon89   [Mar 18, 2013 at 08:01 PM]
The bullseyes can be as early as the later 1950s, to as late as the mid 1970s. After that they switched to the aluminum button-back design and a big and boxy polycarbonate model.

Before the 1950s Econolite was not producing their own signals...they only were a subcontractor and distributor for GE's traffic line

We have some cutway visors in MD but the tunnel style is more common, however in VA, the cutaway style seems as common as gulls there!
