I'v always liked the 327 that light is a monster.

I like it too! I wish they still made them. They were still available until recently Crying or Very sad

I do prefer the Model 25 more but they are basically partners because they look almost identical lol

So they don't use the same fixtures then. Razz I guess you meant to say they use the same poles? AEL still makes the 327 look right here.

Yeah I like the model 25 better too since it's smaller and I like the Model 13 even better. Would love to get one of those. My friend Marco has an NOS 400W MV Model 25.

Yeah it is, and I saw it disappear on the site a while back lol.

In my city we have only 2 Model 13's that I know of.

Im guessing that the spot replacements on the highway were probably Model 327's until somepoint around 2009 or before. There are not many AE 125's at all. The 327's are scattered around all over. A few looked "shiny new" in 2009. B2255's and or Unidors seem to be the originals lights.

327 With power door ??? I wonder what it looks like. Maybe they just put the ballast on the same kind of door with the glass?
streetlight98   [Apr 27, 2015 at 02:53 AM]
There was never a 327 Powerpad. Only for the small (313/315) and medium (325) fixtures. None of the known street light companies made a 1000W sized ballast-on-door cobrahead. Surely it would have made for an easier installation though since the ballast door could be added after the fixture was installed lol.

Nice find! I didn't know that Ontario still had 1kW sized cobras still in use. I suppose the B2228 could have had a door mounted ballast.

If I'm ever bored enough, I suppose I can convert mine to 1kW MV and then put it in the yard. Laughing

Ah yeah I forgot about the Powerlite! LOL Yeah you'll be having planes trying to land in your backyard lol. Laughing

I think these have been LED'd, the 2017 Streetview shows the freeway with LED lights.
streetlight98   [May 07, 2018 at 01:58 AM]
They actually make LEDs that can compete with 1000W HPS? Shocked

I have a feeling they used 400w HPS = LEDs so the freeway is gonna be a lot dimmer than before. Rolling Eyes
