Can you psot a side shot of this?

Nice! Was this originally a merc?
CrazyLamp   [Apr 24, 2012 at 08:45 PM]
it was labeled by westinghouse for HPS 400 watts on the side of lamp socket. fixture was made in 11/1977 HPS was starting out then
streetlight98   [Apr 24, 2012 at 08:54 PM]
Hmm. Are you sure you want to make this a merc? Factory HPS Silverliners aren't all that common.
CrazyLamp   [Apr 24, 2012 at 09:07 PM]
That very true, it cool to find out that factory HPS, being a dummy i did not realize this, even though seller did mention HPS but i thought it was converted over. being shipped with out the ballast and my orginal plan was thinking to converted back to mercs. so since i am a merc fan well be merc and when i am in a mood for HPS at least it get a merc convrsion bulb.

Make sure to hold on to that ballast when you remove it though. Smile Westie HPS ballasts are rare birds.

Nice light, I've actually converted my cobraheads over to MV, I kept the original HPS ballasts though.

I know of a few HPS OV-25 in my area. I have serviced one of them last year. Still Going strong.

There's a lot of HPS OV 15s and 25s in my area, some are old Westy made ones but most of them are newer Coopers.

Can we see inside of this? xD I would like to see. To see how good condition this is.
CrazyLamp   [May 21, 2012 at 04:33 PM]
right now it got no ballast in it, and I dont have the the orginal HPS ballast. so i have to put my own ballast in it. but it still a nice fixture to have in the collection as it hard for me to get a street light in my collection. one day i wish i can get another OV25 merc with orginal ballast.

I got an OV-25 with an original MV ballast. That I am wanting to get rid of. It has two bullet holes in it but if you are interested in it you can buy it from me.
