The LAST USA-made classic inside frosted bulbs I bought brand new
There seem to have some interest in old inside frosted bulbs so I decided to show the last USA made ones I bought brand new in stores (not counting various NOS ones and new rough service ones I have since added). The bulbs here are Industrial Grade 40w and 100w 130v bulbs I bought at Home Depot in 1998 or 1999. They were made 8/98 and 4/98, respectively, at the old Westy plant in Little Rock, Arkansas plant which Philips closed in August 1998. These bulbs have the same internal design as my old Westys.

Neat, I have some Canadian Philips frosted lamps from around the late 90s too, I guess they are inside frosted too?

@Joe does the inside finish look exactly like the above? If so its real inside frosted, the silica coated "frost" bulbs have a thin coating of silica.

I remember those!!!!! I was using those in our house in the late 90s because those had a long lasting life! Plus those had very good filament supports inside which was another reason me and my family used those! The earlier ones had real inside frost! But the later ones were silica frost...

About those the earlier inside frost when used for a long time....they get a little blacking soot on one side LOL....But they somehow got discontinued...which is why we haven't used them.....I may have some in my collection....I will have to check...

Those were also sold at HQ (similar to Home Depot or Lowe's) before they went under sometime in the '90s.
