Cool! All the Walmarts here have T8 lighting or have been retrofitted to T8 but I know of one Walmart that still has the orignal Powerlite B2213s in the parking lot.
I've never seen a walmart here with cobraheads. All of them here have either 400W MH or 1000W PSMH lighting in the parking lot. I swear you can see the super center near my house from the moon at night.
Yeah, it's because the building was originally for a Woolco discount store which Walmart took over in the mid 90s. I haven't seen any new Walmarts with cobras though. If you want I can post some pics of the B2213s.
Here they put up new lights and repave the parking lot when they move in. The store usually gets remodeled, though I've never seen them build a wal~mart from scratch here.
I don't think they replace the parking lot lights here when they move in but most new stores have the MH lights instead. Anyways I have posted a shot of the B2213s.
I was here at this Redlands, CA WalMart today. They had recently relamped all the 8 footers, and repaired fixtures that probably had bad ballasts. At least they kept the T12s. The 4ft are still old as well as the 8ft entry and exit foyers.
