Retrofitted Pedestrian Signal
Here's a CGE/Fortran style aluminium pedestrian signal that was retrofitted to LED by removing the lens and reflector in the hand section and replacing them with a LED insert.

Hmm. I see they left the walking man untouched although it was disconnected.

That's how Mississauga and Brampton retrofitted their old incandescent ped signals, Vaughan did something similar except they painted over the unused walk lens Mad and Toronto fitted a countdown module in the bottom section instead of leaving it blank.

Markham and Richmond opted to replace their signals instead.

We used a red hand retro fit and white man retrofit instead of having them combined in our double section ped signals. The majority were the DON'T WALK/WALK ones that were single sections. Our older ones looked similar to this:

The red walk and white walk shared the same word.

Ah these, Toronto used to use them before the symbols were introduced in the 70s. We also used the two section WALK/DONT WALKs too.

Yep the ones you linked are correct. We also used the LED version too. I like those better than the hand and man.
