These are old GE T8s! Mfd 2/91 at the Circleville, OH plant. They were made in Canada for a while and now made in the USA.

Cool! i didn't know they made the cheapskate 25W T8 lamps until the mid 2000s. Laughing That's the font GE used on their NEMA tags before the narrowed Helvectica font. My 250W HPS GE tag has identical numbers. Smile

@mike these are 3 ft lamps...the normal wattage is 30W though but the 25W are usually Triphosphor and brighter

I believe the 30w 3' T8s are designed for preheat ballasts while these are designed for rapid start and instant start. I have a rapid start ballast for one of these lamps.

Yep 3' 30w T8's are the "old" version meant for magnetic ballasts. 25w is the "new" version (equalivent to a F32T8, only 3-foot)

Yep..can be confusing since there's like 5 different 4-foot T8 wattages
40w, 36w, 32w, 28w, and 25w (plus ofcourse the rare HO T8 tubes, which apparently come in come in 44w & 48w...have yet to actually see one of those HO T8's, but I've seen all the normal-output ones)

Yeah I find older etches had more character.

i like the older etches like on my GE F14T12: simple and to the point. IMO the (E) and (Hg) and the tradmark names are just useless "extra" info that no one pays attention to anyways. Laughing Just put the manufacturer's name, and the F00T00/XX code that they use. Razz

Nah etches need more info on them like 4500 lumens UL Listed, CSA certified, rapid start only, 5 yr guarantee, medium bi-pin so the customer can know exactly what they're buying. Laughing Laughing Razz
