Rapid Start Sequence
|
Testing out the burst mode feature on my new camera. Here's the startup sequence of my American fluorescent wraparound light. The lamp that always fires up first is on the blue side of the ballast. Lamps are some Premium Life Xtrabright T10 I found at Restore while the ballast is a Advance Mark III.

But whatever you do, don't get rid of that vintage RS shoplight!
Personally I'd take the RS shoplight with you but it's totally up to you...
My Sears shoplight will probably go with me as will my vintage florescents, MV yardlight, MH highbays and HID lamps, as well as everything I've collected except maybe some 4' florescents that aren't super valuable if I don't have room, and other stuff that doesn't work/I don't have room to store for awhile if I have to...
As for the preheat shoplight, just replace it with an electronic IS F32T8 one. Your parents will probably like the instant-on, flicker-free operation better anyway...
